Even Here was birthed out of the joy, peace, and gratefulness that God has produced in our lives after immense grief. Pain. Betrayal. And deception. The life I dreamed of, and honestly assumed I would have, looks so different now. At times, I look around and think, "This is unbelievable." Unbelievable for so many reasons. For one, so much of what I once knew is now marked by deceit. That is something I still cannot fully comprehend, and the pain is more than words can adequately describe. But then there is another unbelievable part: I am surviving. I am thriving. Even amidst all the pain. God met me there, and He is redeeming me. His Word is coming to pass in my life, time after time. I am free. That is the short version of a very long story, but what matters most is that God brought me here. And for you, my dear sister or brother, I pray that you find at least one song, one devotional, or one scripture on this site that speaks to you and brings you peace. You are loved. God loves you. I love you. And you matter.
